A new lifestyle in Bolivia
DecoHouse is a house that is unique in La Paz and probably in the whole of Bolivia. It pays homage on the part of the proprietor and co-designer of its spaces to modernity and to ancestral Bolivian cultures.
DecoHouse is a fabulous urban house that is decidedly modern, with harmonious forms and light-filled spaces, combining leading-edge integrated technology and decoration based partly on ancient cultures of the Bolivian Altiplano and Amazon region.
DecoHouse is also a crossroads of antiques and works of art, bringing together paintings and stone or wooden sculptures that have surprising strength, beauty or realism.
DecoHouse, notwithstanding its high altitude location (at 3,600 metres above sea level) in one of the residential neighbourhoods of the South of La Paz, is benefited, through its conception, by a maximum degree of solar illumination, offering its occupants an ideal temperature throughout the year. The two upper floors, protected by aluminium and glass structures, offer a tropical climate in which many varieties of citruses, and banana and coffee trees grow, providing an ideal location for rest.
DecoHouse, when night falls, is totally transformed, animated by the sounds and colours of its water fountains and its illuminated bamboo walls, as well as its aquariums. The softness of daylight suddenly gives way to an array of magical and particular lights, creating enchantment for the senses, becoming, one by one, fascinating and mysterious, highlighting to the last detail the attractions of the house and of the surroundings.
Finally, for optimal living in this uncommon space, sound and image are not left aside, and are present at all levels through HDMI flats-screen mural televisions, a video projector with a giant electronic screen, DVD players equipped with Dolby System sound, and a karaoke. |
